Kanger Clearomizers: From the ProTank Era to the T3S Today
Kanger's ProTank clearomizers were a big deal in the early days of sub-ohm and variable wattage vaping. The ProTank-3 introduced pyrex glass, bottom dual coils, and airflow control at a time when those features weren't common — it was genuinely innovative for its time.
The ProTank line has since been discontinued, but Kanger's clearomizer legacy lives on in the T3S, which we still carry at SmokTek.
The Kanger T3S today
The Kanger T3S Clearomizer is a bottom-coil clearomizer that shares the same approachable MTL vaping style as the ProTank series. It uses TOCC (Top Organic Cotton Coil) heads, which produce clean flavor and hold up well over time.
What makes it still relevant:
- Simple, reliable design with no fussy adjustments
- Works with standard eGo batteries and most 510-threaded devices
- TOCC coils are easy to replace and available in different resistances
- Affordable price point — great as a backup or for sharing with new vapers
Coils and compatibility
