Aspire Nautilus BVC Coils: Everything You Need to Know

The Aspire Nautilus has been a vaping staple for over a decade, and there's a good reason for that — it's a reliable, well-built MTL (mouth-to-lung) tank that delivers clean flavor with minimal fuss. If you're using a Nautilus, keeping fresh coils on hand is the single biggest thing you can do for consistent performance.

What coils fit the Nautilus?

The Nautilus line uses Bottom Vertical Coil (BVC) heads. The Aspire Nautilus BVC Replacement Coils we carry come in a 5-pack and are compatible with the original Nautilus, Nautilus Mini, and several other Aspire devices using the same coil format including the K1 and CE5-S.

Resistance options

The BVC coils are available in 1.6 ohm and 1.8 ohm versions. Both are designed for MTL vaping at lower wattages (around 10-14W) — they're not sub-ohm coils, so don't try to push them too hard.

Tips for coil longevity

  • Always prime a new coil — drip e-liquid directly on the cotton before filling and let it sit 5 minutes before vaping
  • Start at a lower wattage and work up
  • Avoid sweetener-heavy e-liquids, which caramelise and clog coils faster
  • Replace the coil when you notice flavor degradation or reduced vapor production
